Environment

Our partners are carrying out initiatives of urban regeneration such as:
-clearing waste and overgrown vegetation in city streets, schools, community buildings, and neighborhoods,
    -fixing broken infrastructure
-and making spaces more accessible and safe for outsiders to visit.

In peri-urban and rural spaces the main focuses are on ensuring and maintaining environmental health through:
-replacing alien vegetation with indigenous plants
-teaching citizen science for testing water quality and monitoring
-cutting and clearing fire breaks, and spreading fire awareness in communities to help prevent wildfires,
-and implementing effective waste management systems.

These interventions intend to create pride, empowerment, and resilience within communities which have become increasingly negatively affected by their surrounding physical spaces, and the knock-on effects that they bring.
